Indians Game 3-19

I just wanted to provide a few thoughts of what I saw during the Indians vs Dodgers game today.

  • The pitching matchup had me intrigued from the start and it did not disappoint. Jeanmar Gomez continued to prove his case for the fifth starter spot by throwing 4 solid innings, with only one hit, one walk and three strikeouts. Clayton Kershaw did not have a bad outing. 5 and a third innings, three hits, one run (earned), two walks and five strikeouts.
  • Kershaw had a lot of life of his curveball, striking out Santana and Duncan with it.
  • Jose Lopez continued his great spring with a RBI single in the first, giving him 6 RBI’s (second to Duncan-10)
  • Michael Brantley-left with sore right hamstring, had Indians’ fans holding their breath. They need Brantley to be in outfield with no Sizemore.
  • Sloppy play in the infield today- Lopez, Donald and Hu all made errors
  • Carlos Santana with a huge homerun in the 6th. Could have another big season for the Tribe.
  • Dan Wheeler with a great showing today after the struggles thus far. Could be great in the Bullpen Mafia.
  • Chris Seddon had a tough inning to close the game. Definitely a wild card this spring.

I will provide my opinion on the Spring position battles and other minor things tomorrow right here. Thanks for reading! Feel free to comment.
