Quick Takes: The Storm played in 5 games this week on the road to open GLIAC play. They split the doubleheader with Ohio Dominican and lost the series against Hillsdale. They had a few good pitching performances from their top pitchers. Senior Adam Beach tied the Lake Erie career record of 15 wins on Saturday with 7 strong innings. Junior Logan Nordquist pitched a third straight game with allowing three runs or less but took the loss as the Storm did not give him run support. The Storm had a few hitters step up for the week  to help the Storm. The home opener scheduled for Wednesday 3/27 has been postponed due to field conditions. The game could be made up on Thursday but no official word came as of this time.

Sophomore defender Justin Goodwin  was named the East Coast Athletic Conference Division II Lacrosse League Defensive Player of the Week as well.

Quick Takes: The Storm upped their record to 5-2 on the season with a weekend sweep in Connecticut. Senior Meredith Howe led the team with 17 points including a team high 11 goals. Howe was named the GLIAC player of the week for last week with her outstanding play. The Storm was scheduled to make their home debut but snow moved the Gannon game to April 16th.

Up Next for the Storm: 3/29 vs. Young Harris (12:00 PM)

Softball: 0-0

The Storm was scheduled to play 6 home games this week but the ever-changing weather in Painesville moved all of those games to later this Spring. Here is a updated schedule:

4/3 vs. Wayne State University (DH) starting at 3:00 PM

4/5 vs. Saginaw Valley State University (DH) starting at 12:00 PM

4/24 vs. Mercyhurst University (DH) starting at 3:00 PM

Also, a doubleheader vs. Notre Dame College scheduled for Tuesday 3/26 was rescheduled for 4/27.

Quick Takes: The Storm last played on March 8th, and is not scheduled to play until Friday March 29th. The 3 weeks off in between could hurt the team with the rust of not playing. They played 10 games in a week to begin the season and have been dormant in the 3 weeks after.  We will see how the team will respond this weekend in Michigan.

Up Next for the Storm: 3/29 @ Ferris State (DH) starting at 3:30 PM/5:30 PM and 3/30 @ Grand Valley State (DH) starting at 1:00 PM/3:00 PM.

Have a great Easter weekend everyone!
